September 2016 Ipsy Bag

I’m not sure why I haven’t posted my last two Ipsy bags… But I am back tonight with my September one! Mine got here super late this month… Like, I got it yesterday. And normally I get it around the 13th-ish. Oh well, I got it and I’m pretty happy with it!

The highlighter and lipstick are both really nice shades. I definitely see myself trying out the highlighter stick more than the lipstick though.

I did test out the Befine Exfoliating Cleanser and I am impressed! I really like the formula, and the brown sugar scent. The scrubbies feel so great and it feels like it is really getting into my pores and cleaning them out. I see myself using this little sample up and possibly ordering a full size. (Depending on how much it is :p )

I havent tried anything else out, but maybe when I have the time to play with makeup again I will test out the It Cosmetics mascara and possibly even the Pixi lipstick! I just don’t see myself ever reaching for that lipstick so I might end up giving it to my cousin. I do think the bag this month is really cute! I don’t like how plasticy it smells though. I haven’t had that issue with any of my other bags, but as soon as I pulled this one out of the pink package… Whew! It hit me.

UPDATE: I just looked up the Befine Exfoliating Cleanser…. It retails on their website for $24. Dasss esspensive. I probably won’t purchase it, unless I can find it cheaper elsewhere.

June 2016 Ipsy Bag

What’s not to love about this bag?!
That single eye shadow is absolutely stunning – Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands! And the three toned bronzer is nicely pigmented and the colors are beautiful. I think my favorite thing is the Be A Bombshell Liquid Lipstick. I looove the nudey pink color!! I previously received a beach spray in an Ipsy bag by Sexy Hair so I might give this one to my sister, but I also MIGHT want to try it out first just to see if it works and if i like it. Who else subscribes to Ipsy? What did you get this month & did you love it?!

May 2016 Ipsy Bag

Hello Beauties!
It’s that time again – Ipsy time! I always look forward to this each month. Just knowing I will be receiving that little pink package in the mail makes my heart happy.
SO this month is probably by far my FAVORITE bag!!! The bag itself is totally adorable. I absolutely love how it looks like an envelope, and the print on it is too cute. I’m pretty happy with what all I received this month as well. So let’s jump into that:

I am very excited to use the pink nail polish, the most adorable contour brush ever, and the hydrating face mask! I really like the mascara and lip liner as well, but right now I just have so many mascaras I already use, and as for the lip liner, I just don’t “dress my lips up” with any of that stuff because, I never go anywhere. But I’m glad I have it for when the time comes that I DO go somewhere and can actually use it! (When I swatched it, it glides on beautifully and smoothly. Although, I haven’t swatched it on my lips, only my hand, I’m sure it will work pretty well. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Bellápierre!) What did you receive in this months bag? March 2016 Ipsy Bag

I’m super excited to try everything that I got! I think tomorrow I’m going to try and take some time when my little one naps and use of the facial masks and relax. 🙂

And then, whenever I have time to play around with some makeup I will test the rest of the products I got out and let you all know what I think! I still have to test out what I got in my last bag. So far the only thing I have tested is the pink nail polish, and I really love it!

February 2016 Ipsy Bag

I received my February Ipsy Bag the other day – not my favorite bag, but not my least favorite either. The bag itself is cute, but I could go without a couple of the things that I got. Here are the things I received:

I’m pretty excited about the Smashbox primer oil, and the nail polish… But I could go without the hand cream (I’ve gotten sooo many of them in my Ipsy bags), the lip gloss because, well, I’m not a lip gloss fan… This one does look really pretty though! And the blush stick… I’m on the fence about it. I’m not excited for it, but I’m not disappointed with it either. Lol

I haven’t tested anything out yet, I did swatch the blush stick – it’s super pretty! And I did a small swipe of polish on my nail to see how pink it was, and I really like it!!! I will be painting my nails with it very soon. 🙂

Natural Everyday Makeup Look

On the day to day I don’t usually do my hair and / or my make up. I’m usually in sweats with my hair thrown up. If I’m just running to the store I’ll throw on some concealer and some mascara but that’s about it.

But, I decided to do my hair AND my make up the other night. Just because. I wasn’t going anywhere… I just wanted to feel alive, and… Well, pretty. The baby was sleeping, so I took a nice relaxing bath, and used a curling wand on my hair. Normally I would straighten my hair, but I’ve been in love with using the curling wand anytime I get around to doing my hair now. (I don’t know how to use a curling iron, no lie. I can’t even curl my hair right with my straightener. I’m hair impaired. LOL.) Anyway, then I proceeded to do a natural but pretty make up look. It’s something I would do as an everyday look, it’s so simple, but it’s my go to! Here are the products I used on my eyes and face:

Obviously Maybelline is my favorite drugstore brand… Haha. I really do love all of their products. They usually don’t disappoint me!

So first I used the Baby Skin Pore Eraser around my nose, chin and mouth. Then I used my Elf Hydrating Face Primer. This stuff feels so good on my skin, it leaves my face feeling so smooth, I love it! Then I went ahead and put my eye shadow and liner on. I used this really pretty soft gold shade. It brightens up my eyes a lot. My fiance likes when I wear it! Then onto my Lumi Cushion foundation and Maybelline concealer. (I also used a little concealer on my eyes since I couldn’t find my other eye primer.) Then I put a little of my blush on, set my face with my HD powder (this helps my skin to not feel tacky at all, and you don’t see the powder on your face what so ever. I love this stuff! I believe I got it in an Ipsy bag months ago.) And last but not least I threw on my mascara. My favorite at the moment! Thanks to my cousin, she sent it to me!!!

This is what the look ended up looking like… First selfie that I’ve taken in awhile that I actually like of myself! (You can’t see my make up THAT well in this picture, but you get the idea. And you can see what I did to my hair 🙂 )

January 2016 Ipsy Bag

My January Ipsy bag came super late in the mail last month… I was having issues with my card at the time, but it finally came!!! I think the bag itself is absolutely adorable. I’m not entirely impressed with last months bag though, but it did come with some good stuff.

What I am most excited for is the eyeliner and the cream pigment.
I honestly have no idea what the eye contour lifting fluid is for. Any suggestions??? I’m not NOT excited about the brow powder, I just never use brow products… I have never sculpted or messed with my brows what so ever, so I almost feel like its unnecessary for me, but I might give it a try sometime! What did everyone else receive in their Ipsy bags last month?? I am pretty excited to get this months bag. But I am not peaking at all so I am going to be totally surprised when it gets here 😊

Ipsy – December 2015!

I FINALLY received my Ipsy bag in the mail today! I absolutely love this months bag. Its super cute, and I love how its a different style than all their other bags. The bright red is pretty amazing too. I just might be using it in my purse for either make up, or other small items I don’t want to get lost, haha! (Big purse struggles!) Anyway, I’m pretty happy with the items I received this month. Could be better, could be worse. Here is everything I got in my bag this month:

Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil Shea Butter Deep Nourishing Conditioning Treatment, Formula X nail polish in Revved Up, Model Co Illusion Lip liner – I don’t see the name of the color on it, Pacifica natural minerals lipstick in Nudie Red, and Jersey Shore Spa Anti Aging Lip & Hand Polish.
I think I’m most excited for the lip & hand polish. Everything else is great… But I already have a nail polish about the same color as the one I got, and the lipstick is a little too brown for me. (When I swatched it it looked brownish to me :/) but nonetheless, I can’t wait to try everything out. Will let you all know how it works out and if they are hit or misses with me. 🙂

25 Questions Beauty Tag

I felt like doing another tag – this is what happens when I’m bored and am not ready for bed, lol.

SKINCARE:

1.) How many times do you wash your face daily? Not as much as I should, but I try to wash my face when I first wake up, and before I got to bed. 

2.) What skin type do you have? (Dry, oily, combo) Definitely dry!

3.) What is your current facial wash? Clean and Clear Morning Burst and the Night Relaxing one. 

4.) Do you exfoliate? Of course, just not as much as I need to. 😦 

5.) What brand do you use? Nothing in particular, whatever I happen to grab at the store. Sometimes Saint Ives, sometimes something else. 

6.) What Moisturizer do you use? I just picked up the Simple Sensitive Skin Experts, I like it so far!

7.) Do you have freckles? Why yes, yes I do. 

8.) Do you use eye cream? Not really.

9.) Do you or did you have acne prone skin? No, I got lucky. The only time I deal with breakouts is when it’s that time of the month. Or when I’m pregnant. Haha

10.) Did you ever have to use Pro-active? No.

MAKEUP:

11.) What foundation do you use? I have a couple of different brands, but I think the one I usually use is Covergirl. Not sure WHICH foundation though. 

12.) How about concealer? Also Covergirl. I really love their concealer. I also have Maybelline’s Master Conceal – but I’m still not sure how I like it. I may end up giving it to my sister or my cousin. It’s a little too thick for my liking. 

13.) Do you know your undertone color? My what? Lol, that would be a no.

14.) What do you think of fake lashes? I like them, I just don’t use them. I wouldn’t mind trying them out sometime, but they are not easy to put on. I tried once for Halloween one year and it was time consuming, and it looked awful. 

15.) Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months? Actually no, I never knew that but that won’t stop me from still using up my mascaras lol. 

16.) What brand of mascara do you use? Currently my favorite is the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, but I also have Two Faced Better Than Sex, Tarte’s Light, Camera, Lashes, and Urban Decays Perversion. Love them all. 

17.) Sephora or Mac? I’ve never been to either……. 😡

18.) Do you have a Mac Pro card? I’ve never been to Mac so I wouldn’t even know what a Mac pro card is. 

19.) What make up tools do you use in make up application? Well it depends on what I’m applying, but, brushes…. Lol.

20.) Do you use a make up base / primer for your eyes? Sometimes I do. I have a Mica eyeshadow primer I got in an Ipsy bag that I really like. 

21.) For the face? Sometimes. Lol… Sometimes I just don’t have time to go all out with my make up. But my cousin sent me a Hard Candy face primer that I really like. I try to use it when I have the chance to REALLY do my make up. 

22.) What is your favorite eyeshadow? Like, brand or color? Color wise I love darker colors like black, dark browns, silver / grays, and purples. They really make my green eyes pop. Brand wise, I don’t really own any high end make up, but I am dying to try out Urban Decays shadows. I want the Gwen Stefani palette so bad. And of course the Naked palettes. 

23.) What is your favorite lipstick? Maybelline’s Matte Faint for Fushia. It’s a bright pink, it’s so perfect. And it smells exactly like Playdough. 

24.) Are you clumsy in putting on make up? YES. I’m clumsy in general, but still. Lol 

25.) Which celebrity always has great make up? I honestly don’t pay too much attention to celebrities makeup, but Lucy Hale’s makeup is always on point. She is gorgeous no matter what she is wearing. I always pay attention to my favorite youtubers makeup though. Kathleenlights is my all time favorite and her makeup is PHENOMENAL. Also, Kandee Johnson is amazing. Love them!!!

Just Some Thoughts & Questions

Hey guys!

Okay, so I know this isn’t Youtube or anything, but would anyone be interested in me doing haul blogs on here? I haven’t gotten my Youtube channel set up yet, but I do hope to in the near future. To be honest, I’m really nervous about it. I’m camera shy, and to think that so many people can see your videos just makes me want to crawl back into my shell and hide. But at the same time…  I want to do it. I’ve been wanting to for quite some time now, I just haven’t gathered the guts to start it. Also, I don’t have a camera of my own yet (which is why my pictures on here aren’t of the best quality – they’re all taken from my cell phone.) But I want to step out of my comfort zone and reach more people about the things that I love and enjoy doing. Hauls are something I’m really interested in, and they’re my favorite kind of videos to watch – but considering I haven’t started my channel yet, would you guys like to see what I haul??? Any of the beauty gurus out there? Please let me know, because I would love to share the upcoming things that I purchased and am waiting to arrive 🙂

 

P.S. Is it totally lame that I want to do that? I’m still new to this blog thing, so I don’t know if people actually do “Haul Blogs”. Suggestions are welcome, I need opinions. HELP.
