Starting Up My YouTube Channel

Hello all!

So my last post was about my very first YouTube video that I made. I decided to make my first video regarding Psoriasis because I’ve been dealing with it for so much of my life that I felt the need to put my story out there, and maybe help some other people that deal with it as well. I made a second video, a part two to my first one, and I added some pictures of my other affected areas, and mentioned how I am going to try out two different products each in different spots, and see which product gives me faster and better results and what not. The link to that video is here:

I hope you guys check it out!!

My plans for my channel are to make not only videos talking about Psoriasis, but to make my favorite kinds of videos to watch – such as beauty related videos. I want to start recording hauls, favorites videos, what’s in my purse (I always find those fun!), cooking videos, diy’s and more. So if anyone is interested in any of those things then please subscribe to my channel, videos will be coming soon! Once I recorded my Psoriasis videos, I realized it isn’t as hard or “scary” and I thought it was to sit down and talk to a camera. Of course I was nervous at first, but making my second video was so much easier for me. And now I wake up everyday wanting to make some sort of video! Lol It would be so great to have a good subscriber base, and for my lovely blogger friends to share my videos if you wouldn’t mind. This is something I am really becoming passionate about, and want to do so much more of. It’s hard when you are just starting out… There are so many YouTubers out there already, that new people don’t get noticed as easily. Now I don’t expect to be a “big time” YouTuber by any means, but I would love to have a good audience. And I hope some of you will join me! πŸ™‚ the link to my direct channel is below, but if that doesn’t work for any reason, my name on there is ‘itsjustdiana’.

Do any of you have YouTube channels that I could check out? I love finding new channels to subscribe to, and to help support. Let me know in the comments and I will definitely check it out! πŸ™‚

As of now, I don’t have a specific uploading schedule… (kind of like with my blog posts, I WANT to have a set schedule, but being a mommy comes first, and takes up most of my time) but any chance I get I am going to record something, and hopefully upload on certain days throughout the week. Does anyone have any advice for me on just starting out with my channel, and / or and suggestions on videos you would like to see??? Let me know, I am totally up for any suggestions!

Have a good night xx

Pasta Con Broccoli Recipe

Hello all!

I haven’t posted a recipe in a long time, and I’ve been meaning to. The other night I made Pasta Con Broccoli for the second time. It was even more delicious than the first time! I found the recipe online and I haven’t been more happy with a recipe than I am with this one. It tastes just like Pasta House’s in my opinion!

(I’m sorry my food pictures aren’t the BEST, but in time I do plan to get better with it. The lighting, and not having my own place completely throws me off, so sorry in advance!)

IMG_20160305_235355

What you will need:

  • 1 lb box uncooked large shell pasta
  • 2 cups cream (heavy or whatever you find in the store)
  • 2-4 tbsps of butter ( I used 4)
  • 2 tsps minced garlic
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 head of broccoli, chopped
  • 8 oz. sliced fresh button mushrooms
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh grated parmesan cheese ( I used shredded parm cheese)

Basically, you cook the pasta until it’s halfway done. I cooked mine for 6 minutes then drained it and put it back into the pot. Add the cream, butter, garlic, tomato sauce, broccoli, salt and pepper. Bring that to a hard boil.

When the noodles are fully cooked and the sauce starts to thicken up, add the mushrooms and stir to combine.

Remove it from the heat, and add the cheese. Toss and serve. VOILA, and amazingly delicious meal!

I would eat this every single day… If I wanted to gain weight. πŸ˜› I’m trying to be good and get healthier so when I make this it will be on a cheat day, and like a luxury to me. Lol.

This recipe deserves more than 2 thumbs up! Give it a try, and let me know what you think!! πŸ™‚

I hope everyone has had / is having a wonderful weekend!

Crock Pot Chicken Philly Cheese Steaks

Good morning, all! I am sooo tired this morning. My little man didn’t fall asleep until around 1 am-ish, he then woke me up close to 4 am, and he just got me up at 7.
Luckily, my mother in law took him for me so I can nap for a little bit. Lets be real, I feel dead after all of that! BUT before I nap, I once again started a dish in my crock pot. As you may have already guessed by my title…. Haha.
CHICKEN PHILLY CHEESE STEAKS, I mean, besides regular Philly cheese steaks does anything sound better than that?!? I will post the recipe below, and show you a picture of my first step, and continue on like I did with my Creamy cream cheese chicken recipe!

Ingredients:
2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts (I’m using tenderloins)
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1 large, or two small bell peppers, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cups mushrooms
Salt and pepper to season the bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms
French bread or hoagie rolls
Swiss cheese (I forgot to buy slices, so I’ll be using shredded cheese)

Place the chicken into the crock pot. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the cup of chicken broth. (Do not add the vegetables yet!)
Cover and cook on low for 6.5 hours.
After the chicken has cooked, add the sliced vegetables on top.
Cover and cook on high for 1.5 hours.
With two forks shred the chicken.
Using tongs, place the meat onto hoagies, first try to tap off the access liquid, and top with cheese. Place the sandwiches open faced in the oven under the broiler for a few minutes to melt the cheese.

Let’s hope this one turns out as good as the creamy cream cheese chicken!! πŸ™‚

Creamy Crock Pot Chicken Finished Product!

image

This turned out FABULOUSLY! It was so darn good, I know I will be making this again. Now, something I didn’t add to the instructions was that it did call for shredding the chicken. I just did that when it was basically ready to eat though. And it was much easier to do than I thought it would be. I am very happy with the way this tasted! Pinterest win! πŸ˜€

Creamy Crock Pot Chicken Update!

No, its not finished yet, but it’s been cooking for about 6 1/2 hours I’d say, and it is making the house smell SO GOOD! I just thought I’d update you all with how its looking now that its been cooking awhile.

image

It definitely isn’t the best looking, but it smells so good like I said, and I mean, you can’t go wrong with all these ingredients! I can’t wait to try it in another hour and a half or so!!!

Creamy Crock Pot Chicken

Good morning folks! Today is a tired, rainy day. Its been raining for days on end here, what about where you’re at?
Anyway, this would be a good time for me to like coffee, but unfortunately, I can’t get past the taste. I want to like it so bad, but I can’t do it. So for now, I’ll pop open an ice cold can of Dr. pepper and post about what’s to come for dinner.
I found this recipe on – yes, you guessed it – Pinterest! And it looked so darn good I had to try it for myself. Luckily I just bought myself a crock pot so that I CAN try it. πŸ™‚
This recipe is called Crock Pot Cream Cheese Chicken Chili. That’s a mouthful. Lol.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
1 can of rotel tomatoes
1 can of corn (it says not drained, but I drained mine)
1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
1 package dry ranch dressing
1 T cumin
1 T chili powder
1 T onion powder
1 8 oz. Block of cream cheese
Put the chicken in the crock pot. Top with rotel, corn and black beans. Add the ranch dressing packet, cumin, chili and onion powders and stir to mix. Then add the cream cheese to the top and set on low for 6-8 hours.
I set a timer for 4 hours to stir, it says to stir only about a couple of times throughout the process. But I decided to let mine cook for 8 hours. Its in the crock pot now, and I will let you all know how it turns out later! πŸ™‚

It smells amazing!

Buffalo Chicken Pasta Recipe

One of my favorite dishes to make is Buffalo Chicken Pasta! It is SO DARN GOOD. I would consider it a staple in my house, as I feel I make it quite a lot. (I love anything buffalo chicken – and when I was pregnant that is all I wanted to eat!) Any way, it is such an easy dinner to throw together you will wonder how you ever did without it. πŸ™‚

Buffalo Chicken Pasta:

1 Box Penne Noodles

1/2 – 1 Cup Franks Buffalo Sauce

1/2 – 1 Cup Ranch Dressing

2 10 oz. Cans of Chicken (you can absolutely cook chicken breasts and shred them, but I find it more convenient to use canned)

1 Bag Shredded Cheese (whatever kind you prefer, I like Monteray Jack or Mild Cheddar)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Make the whole box of noodles. Mix together the ranch dressing and the buffalo sauce in a bowl. Once the noodles are done spread them out in a baking dish. Pour the sauce mixture over the noodles with some cheese and the chicken, mix it all up together and add more cheese on top of the pasta. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

This recipe is a MUST TRY. You will not regret it!Β pasta

Bruschetta Bread Recipe

Hey guys… I’m back yet again with another delicious and simple recipe for you!

Have you ever seen the movie Julie and Julia? Well, this recipe is thanks to that movie. The scene where Julie is cooking dinner for her and her husband – you see her frying some bread in a skillet, and then you see her husband indulging in the finished product. It took me awhile, but I googled what it was she was cooking and it was Bruschetta bread! I’m glad I took the time to actually try it because it’s really good, and would make for a great appetizer!

Ingredients:

1 French Baguette

2-3 Tomatoes

2-3 Garlic Cloves

Fresh Basil Leaves

Grated Parmesan Cheese

2 TBSP Olive Oil

Directions:

In a medium sized skillet heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil on low heat. Slice your bread, and begin frying it. About 1-2 minutes on each side, or until a nice and crispy golden brown. Once your done with that, rub your garlic cloves on the top of each bread slice. Set aside. In a large bowl, mix together 1 Tbsp olive oil, chopped tomatoes, and basil leaves. Spoon the mixture onto your slices of bread. Top with grated parmesan cheese and enjoy!

As simple and easy as this dish is, it has such great flavor! And honestly, you can always add to it, or tweak it however you want to make it your own. I did see a Mushroom Bruschetta on Pinterest that I would love to try. Who knows, maybe it will be in a future blog post! Happy cooking! πŸ™‚Collage 2015-11-09 00_14_09_1

Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo Stuffed Shells Recipe

Okay, so last night I decided to make a favorite meal of mine; Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo Stuffed Shells. Now I cheated a little with some of the ingredients – but it made it much more convenient for me with a newborn.

Ingredients:

2 to 3 cooked chicken breasts ( I use canned chicken – as I said, it was much easier for me to use at this time )

broccoli florets ( I cheated here too and used the easy steamer bag of broccoli florets )

shredded cheese – any kind you would like, I used mild cheddar

1 to 2 jars alfredo sauce

1 box of large shell noodles

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cook the chicken and the noodles. Shred the chicken into smaller pieces and mix it with the broccoli, shredded cheese, and some of the alfredo sauce in a bowl. Pour sauce on the bottom of the dish you will use for baking. Start filling the shells until full, and line them in baking dish. Top with more shredded cheese and sauce. Bake for 30 minutes. Voila! Easy, simple and DELICIOUS dinner idea!Β Collage 2015-11-08 01_56_33_1
